How it Works: Creators
The primary benefit for listing on our platform is the access to paid projects through Curate as a content creator. Creators are able to showcase a portfolio of work on our platform, which allows the opportunity for clients to book your creator services.
We facilitate all payments and project administration on your behalf, which allows you to focus on doing what you do best – content creation.
Through our creator network we also strive to foster a community of content creators in your local region. This community allows creators to share learning and expertise with one another and to access niche equipment/assistance when required.
Our aim is to create the best system possible to minimise anything that hinders you from creating content. Content creators on our platform can receive job requests directly through our platform or you can funnel your own projects through Curate. If external clients approach you for projects and you do not have capacity to take this on, we have a referral system in place to allow you to refer these clients to a trustworthy alternative.
Example:
Henry is a videographer on the Curate platform. He is notified of a project that suits his creator services: the client, Sam, wants a videographer who can film for at least 4 hours and is capable of producing a 1-minute promotional video, with a lead time of five business days. Sam’s budget is capped at R10,000.
Sam fills in these project parameters on the Curate website and is notified that three creators best suit her needs. Based on their individual creator profiles, Sam decides that Henry will be the best fit for her project.
Sam confirms her booking by making full payment of the total project cost to Curate. This cost includes Henry’s rate, disbursements as well as our service fee, and is kept safe & secure by us until the project has been completed. Upon receipt of payment, Henry is notified of the project confirmation.
Everything goes smoothly with the project and Henry finishes the post-production with enough time for content review by our moderators and Sam. After a bit of polishing, Sam is satisfied with the end product and leaves a glowing review. Henry’s portion of the project cost is then paid over by Curate, and Sam shifts her focus on to her next campaign - through Curate, of course.
